Phil Joel's Zealand Worship Signs with Word Worship Label; Band's Music is Now on Spotify

Zealand Worship

Word Entertainment is proud to welcome Phil Joel and his band Zealand Worship as the newest signee to Word Worship.

Hear Zealand Worship's new self-titled EP on Spotify now for the first recorded output from a band that's been on a mission to fire up the faithful.

"For the last several years, we've been leading worship and ministering under the radar wherever and to whomever we've felt led, so to finally get some of our music recorded and out there feels really, really great," Phil said. "These songs were written to inspire and stir the hearts of a generation. We want to see people come alive and get passionate and zealous about the Lord and the life He has for each of us."

"We are thrilled to partner with dear friend and industry mainstay Phil Joel to help spread the music and mission of Zealand Worship into homes and churches across the world," said Rod Riley, President and CEO of Word Entertainment.

After leaving the multiplatinum group Newboys, Phil was invited by organizations and churches to lead worship for their various conferences and events. Over time, he began to see a plan unfold in front of him along with a fresh desire to see people truly connect with the Lord in a passionate, authentic way. He and his bandmates, guitarist Ben Garrett, drummer Ben Bugna, guitarist and keyboardist Justin Wantz and bassist Corey Horn, have simply been letting God lead them, and the result is Zealand Worship. They want to become part of a fire-starter movement and don't plan to measure their success by records, tickets sold or by a collection of "fans," but rather by being true to the message they feel God has put in their hearts to deliver.

"The powerful drive, both musically and spiritually, is palpable in Zealand Worship's music," said Jeremy Armstrong, managing editor of Worship Leader Media. "With a depth of understanding found in their lyrical breadth set to singable guitar rock, it's easy to believe that Zealand Worship is going to serve worshipers across the globe."

For those wanting to come see them live, Zealand Worship will be playing select dates over the summer, including four National Worship Leaders Conferences.
