Pharrell Williams Adamantly Explains Why 'It's So Incredible, Arrogant, and Pompous' To Believe That God Did Not Create the Universe [VIDEO]

"Happy" singer Pharrell Williams recently expressed his views regarding the creation of the universe in a recent interview.

"I believe in God but I also believe in the universe...and I believe in that innate ability to make decisions and to exercise our feelings as human beings," said Williams to Stylist Magazine.

"How do you see all the stars and think there's nothing else out there? It's so incredible arrogant and pompous. It's amazing that there are people who really believe that. It's unbelievable."

In addition, the 41-year-old Virginia native also addressed claims that some of the lyrics of the song that he collaborated with Robin Thicke and rapper TI were highly offensive to some women.

"I'll say this: at the end of the day, you can soundbite things in the Bible and be offended. But I'm sure that's not the writers of the Bible's intentions," said Williams.

"I'm clearly not comparing my song to one of the most respectful writings I've ever read...My point to you is, anything can be taken out of context. I love women, and the last thing I want to do is degrade [them]."

Williams previously addressed his opinion regarding religion in another discussion regarding his faith in God.

"I believe in God and the universe and that those are synonymous... On paper I'm a Christian but really I'm a Universalist," said Williams to GQ Style magazine last year, "I believe there are different routes to a destination."

However, according to the Bible, The Messiah made the following statement regarding the path to heaven:

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me," said Jesus, according to John 14:6 in the Holy Scriptures.

Nevertheless, the new 'The Voice' judge further revealed his Universalist's viewpoint regarding religion in the aforementioned GQ Style interview.

"Do I think that Christianity is the only way? No. I think the only route for everything is their connection to God... There's religious dogma that gets involved, something for the greater good and sometimes for not so great reasons... But they give you a way, a vehicle to get to God," said Williams.

'The Voice' returns for its seventh season on September 22, 2014 at 8pm on the NBC network.
