'Person of Interest' Season 5 Finale Spoilers: Finch, Team Stop The Machine; Shaw Going To Avenge Root’s Death

Finch and company are set to take down Samaritan to save humanity in "Person of Interest" season 5 episode 13, the season finale. Also, fans are set to see Shaw avenger Root's death in the episode.

"Person of Interest" season 3 episode 13 is entitled "Return 0." According to Spoilers Guide, the episode will see Finch, Fusco, Shaw, and Reese start on their final mission, which is to stop Samaritan from wrecking The Machine and stick its dominance over mankind. Whether they become successful in finally beating Samaritan without fail is yet to be revealed.

In other news, Shaw is set to take vengeance on Root's death in "Return 0." In his interview with TV Line, "Person of Interest" showrunner Jonah Nolan said that Shaw had been a character that they had not fully conceived of when they had started the show; however, it was the end that they had always talked about and it was indicated in the pilot.

It is further revealed that Shaw and Root's killer are set to have a face-off, which is assumed to lead to an epic battle during the episode, in addition to about two to three "Kleenex" moments. Also, the publication mentioned that the original title of the season finale is "Everyone Dies Alone," which is related to the words uttered by The Machine in the start of the season.

In another interview with TV Line, Michael Emerson, who plays Finch in the show, said that Root's death had rocked his world a bit. He added that when her fate had come, sitting next to her and to have grown to have a family, one was willing to forgive a lot.

"Person of Interest" season 3 episode 13, "Return 0," is to air on June 21.
