'The 700 Club' host Pat Robertson expressed his thoughts regarding same-sex relationships depicted in movies after a viewer named Anna revealed that her daughter came out of the closet.

"The girl-on-girl movies...are getting straight actresses to play lesbians and straight men to play homosexuals and if you say anything against homosexuality you are just hooted out of court," said Robertson on his long running Christian television show in reference to the film industry's strong support of same-sex relationships being portrayed by straight actors.

The 84-year-old Virginian native also speculated that maybe Anna 's daughter might be confused about her sexual identity after a traumatic experience that might have happened in her life in the past.

Robertson also wondered if Anna's 21-year-old daughter might have been a victim of being sexually molested as a child.

"You need to love your daughter and give her a chance to work this out because if she gets deeper and deeper in it, sooner or later she is going to be disillusioned and say, 'this is wrong, I want to come out of it.'"

Anna also asked Robertson if she should quit ministry after she was surprised by her daughter's recent revelation about her sexual preference and her new girlfriend.

Robertson then advised Anna to continue serving the Lord as a worship leader inside an unnamed major city.

"She needs somebody to help her get her identity straight," said Robertson in a recent episode on his show. "She may not be right in this, she may have thought she has a crush on some older girl along the way and she's actually homosexual when she's not, I don't know."

After a telethon in 1966, 'The 700 Club' became a daily Christian variety show that features preaching, Bible study group prayer, and interview segments to this very day.
