During an album presentation held Thursday for his upcoming full-length self-titled solo debut album, singer-songwriter Pat Barrett was handed a surprise plaque by Grammy Award-winning artist Chris Tomlin, announcing the RIAA Platinum certification for the chart-topping single "Good Good Father." The song, which was co-written by Barrett and Tony Brown, has been performed by numerous artists, yet it was Tomlin's recording that took the song to No. 1 at radio.

BREATHEcast earlier this week reported that Barrett is releasing his new album on July 20 as the flagship artist on Tomlin's record label imprint Bowyer & Bow in partnership with Capitol CMG. The partnership is not the first for Barrett and Tomlin who also co-authored the children's book Good Good Father, which to date has sold more than 200,000 copies.

This coming fall, Barrett will join Chris Tomlin on his "Good Good Father" tour in Canada, following a successful spring run performing on the "Worship Night in America" tour throughout the U.S.
