'Orange Is the New Black' Season 4 Spoilers: Fans Speculate Whether Bennett Staged His Disappearance

Although all appeared to be good for Daya (Dascha Polanco) and the father of her baby John Bennett (Matt McGorry) when 'Orange is the Ne Black' Season 3 kicked off, they suddenly became sour when the prison guard disappeared abruptly. This has made many fans wonder whether or not Bennett will appear when the series returns for Season 4 on Netflix.

According to Christian Today, fans last saw Bennett after he visited Daya's mother Aleida (Elizabeth Rodriguez) with a view to be acquainted to be familiar with the family of his fiancée. However, the prison guard was appalled when he saw the manner in which Aleida's drug dealing boyfriend Cesar (Berto Colon) treated his own children. Cesar gave the prison guard a crib, which the latter discarded at the side of the road. Following this, Bennett was not seen again in the remaining episodes of 'Orange Is the New Black' season 4.

The sudden disappearance of Bennett may Daya very depressed and it almost made her to give her still born baby up for adoption to Pornstache's (Pablo Schreiber) mother Delia (Mary Steenburgen). However, she had a change of heart later on and decided to give the baby to her mother after she gave birth. Incidentally, Aledida told Daya that the baby was stillborn. Nevertheless, the fact is that Cesar had the baby, but it was finally taken away when the DEA arrested him.

For the things that happened, it appeared that the series has been very unfortunate for Daya, who not only lost Bennett but also her baby. The fans, however, have a better theory regarding the prison guard's sudden disappearance.

According to a theory posted by a fan of 'Orange Is the New Black' on Reddit, Bennett has hid himself to frame Cesar and get him arrested with a view to help his kids escape their unsuitable situation. If this is true it could denote that Daya's future husband conspired to save the kids and his own child from the Aleida's man and Bennett is likely to appear again in Season 4.

All said and done, even Matt McGorry, who portrays the character of Bennett, is uncertain whether or not his character will be a part of the show in Season 4.

Recently, McGorry told Yahoo!, "The thing that I can say about Season 4 is that it's the writers' decision about whether or not Bennett is back... I have my fingers crossed that he comes through and is the man that we all hoped he was," adding, "But I wouldn't be surprised to find out that wasn't the case. Like me, I guess you'll just have to wait and see."

Meanwhile, Netflix is yet to announce the premiere date of 'Orange Is the New Black' Season 4.
