Orange is the New Black Season 2 Release Date: Netflix Premiere Will Give Taystee and Poussey More Screen Time

Fans relished season one of Orange is the New Black, and fell in love with many of the highly eccentric prison inmates, even the ones who had relatively minor roles. Well, rumors and teasers for the new season arriving on the 6th of June seem to be indicating that as far as those characters go, Season 2 of Orange is the New Black will be nothing less than a dream come true. Especially in the instance of two vivacious inmates and fan favorites Taystee (Danielle Brooks) and Poussey (Samira Wiley).

Rest assured all of those to whom Orange is the New Black is your new obsession, June 6th will be like Christmas for you.

Not only will all thirteen episodes of the mold-breaking genre-bending critically acclaimed T.V. show be available for streaming, but many of the partially neglected cast members will be given more screen time rising and sharing but not eclipsing in the lime light of main cast members such as Piper (Schilling), Larry (Biggs) and Sophia (Laverne Cox).

Last we saw of Taystee, she was released from prison, only to rejoin the group by being arrested shortly after.

Actress Danielle Brooks commented on the side role she had played in season 1, light-heartedly sharing in an interview with E! online: "I'm going to tease you a little bit about Taystee [in] season two-you'll get more of me! The only thing I can give you is that for me Taystee has shocked me for season two so I think people will be excited to see what she does in season two."

Actress Samira Wiley, who plays Poussey, Taystee's prison bosom buddy, had a little information to give as well: "We will see Poussey's back story so I hope people are excited about that. I'm excited about that. We will see a lot more of her in prison."

Both actresses will be seen plying their trade in the coming episodes, and time will only tell for the viewer what kinds of antics that will entail.
