Forbes 2013 List Of The Most Powerful Celebrities: Oprah Winfrey Tops List Including Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber & Lady Gaga

The Forbes' annual Celebrity 100 ranking is out at Oprah Winfrey is back on top of the list after 2 years taking second place. This list of the most powerful celebrities has a lot of woman power at the top with six in the Top 10 including Beyonce (fourth), Taylor Swift (sixth) and Ellen Degeneres (10th). Overall, 35 of 100 spots on the list are women.

Winfrey made an estimated $77 million between June 2012 and June 2013, which is amazing. Even more staggering though is that it is down from last year's $165 million!  She was not the highest earner on the list money wise, but mixed with strong fame scores and social networking power, she received the top spot.

Winfrey remains a strong force in Hollywood even without her daily talk show. Her Oprah Winfrey Network, lost money for parent company Discovery between 2008 and the end of 2012, but is poised to turn a profit by the end of 2013.

Winfrey is focus now on must-see viewing, such as her two-night interview with disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong which got extremely high ratings. She is also working on scripted shows with fellow Celebrity 100 member Tyler Perry. Winfrey also earns from her O magazine and talk shows from protégés like Rachael Ray and Dr. Phil, and a network on SiriusXM satellite radio. All of this together helps her land the #1 spot.

This Celebrity 100 is unlike most FORBES lists, which are only based on earnings or net worth. This list measures all aspects of "fame". So factors along with earnings over the last 12 months, are how often each celebrity is mentioned in print and on TV, the strength of their Internet presence and how they're viewed by the American consumer.

For social networking numbers, they used, Starcount, a Singapore-based company that measures the impact across 11 social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+. Each celebrity's Starcount number gives a idea of their popularity on the Internet.

Justin Bieber, has the most social networking power of the 100 celebrities on our list, followed by Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

Madonna is back on the Celeb 100-in fifth place-after two years off the list, the Material Girl still managed to rank as this year's top earner thanks to a world tour that helped her rake in $125 million between June 2012 and June 2013.

Lady Gaga, who topped the list in 2011, ranks second this year. Gaga still managed to earn $80 million and get the second-most press mentions of anyone on our list (behind Rihanna). She is the third most successful social networker on our list.

Jennifer Lopez was #1 on the List last years and drops to 12th place on the list this time around. She still made in $45 million from a major concert tour and endorsements.

Four men who made the top 10 list: director Steven Spielberg (third), rock band Bon Jovi (seventh), tennis player Roger Federer (eighth), and pop star Justin Bieber (ninth).

Federer was highest-ranked athlete on the list with ten sponsors paying him collectively over $40 million annually.

Will Smith, Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock were named the most marketable celebrities on the list.
