Obama Mosque July 4 Hoax: Will Obama Visit the Muslim Mosque?

There was confusion recently after a news report by the National Report stated, "White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest announced today that President Obama will be visiting a Washington D.C. area Mosque on the morning of July 4th as a goodwill gesture to Muslim Americans."

However, this information has been confirmed as a hoax and is not true. The publication has reported a couple of false political stories in the past, and the website has been confirmed as one of "satire" and is unreliable for real news.

The used to be a disclaimer in the site that says, "DISCLAIMER: National Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways." But this disclaimer was recently removed by the site.

Last year, they also started a false report saying Wyoming residents would be injected with RFID chips as per Obamacare mandate.

Allen Montgomery, the publisher of the National Report, talked with Wyoming Star-Tribune last year to clarify their reports.

"We have been targeting Tea Party types recently as they are the most gullible and are willing to spread misinformation across the internet with little/no research," he told the Star-Tribune last year.

He also validated that their site is not really a "news site."

"It is our opinion that if a person is too lazy to check for multiple references [or at least one other source] ... and they spread misinformation around as fact, then they are to blame for their own stupidity, not us," he said.

National Report is also said to post fake comments just to rile up readers' interest and increase their exposure.
