NFL Quarterback Kirk Cousins Shares on Playing for the Washington Redskins, His Faith & New Book

Kirk Cousins is living his dream of being an NFL quarterback and playing for the Washington Redskins.

Cousins was a standout college football player for Michigan St. and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2012. He currently backs up one of the most popular quarterbacks in the league right now RG3, Robert Griffin III.

Cousins is a strong Christian and his faith plays a big part of his every day life. He just released a new book called Game Changer - Faith, Football and Finding Your Way that he hopes will be able to inspire others.

Cousins was recently asked by radio host Bryce Johnson what areas of his life and faith grew during his first NFL season. Here is what Cousins had to say, " Because of the nature of being a rookie, it's your first time out there...you're in a new part of the country...you're all by yourself...you have a job where you could easily be cut or traded at anytime, it's not the most stable career. As a result, you end up looking outside of yourself for help. I found myself looking up quite a bit and on my knees praying - just asking God for guidance and direction. I felt like the Holy Spirit was faithful to me all last season and guided me through what was a very tough transition from college to pros."
