Nexus 10 2 Release Date, Specs Rumors: August 2014 Launch Expected

It has been almost two years since Google released one of the best tablets around - the Google Nexus 10. While Google is yet to announce the launch date of the Nexus 10 successor, new rumors are suggesting that the new tablet will be launched sometime during August 2014, when the company will hold its annual I/O conference.

Meanwhile, a recent report in Motoring Crunch says the release date of the Google Nexus 10 2 has been delayed owing to a tangle with manufacturers, which will delay the creation of the new tablet.

Rumors are rife that the new tablet will feature a 10.5 inch Super AMOLED screen display. SamMobile found a leak of a spec sheet of the latest slab with model number SM-T800, and it believed that this will be the new device.

If this is true then Google's upcoming tablet will incorporate a 2560 x 1600 resolution Super AMOLED screen, Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS, quad-core Snapdragon processor and 2 GB RAM, 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front-facing sensor, 7,900 mAh battery and microSD card slot.

It is being said that the new tablet will come in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB storage options.

According to yet another report, the Nexus 10 2 will be different from what consumers and fans are expecting, and will in fact feature a 12 inch display, in place of the previous 10 inch screen.

It is speculated that Google Nexus 10 2 will be somewhat similar to the 12.2 inch on the Samsung Galaxy Pro tablets, the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro as well as the Tab Pro 12.2.
