Fresh off the premiere of feature film "God's Not Dead 2," the Newsboys are packing their gear to hit the road starting this fall to promote their latest album, "Love Riot," a tour which will also feature The Afters, Ryan Stevenson and noted speaker and author Bob Lenz.

"The Love Riot Tour 2016" is being sponsored by IF 7:15 and Child Fund and will kick off on Sept. 15 before stopping by 45 locations across the United States. They will make pit stops in Washington, Dallas, Chicago and Virginia.

The Grammy-nominated and Dove-winning band is composed of Michael Tait on vocals, Jody Davis on guitars, Jeff Frankenstein on keyboards, and Duncan Phillips on drums.

Phillips explained to Christian Post their motivations to record "Love Riot," which is the anathema to the chaos that's going on in the world.

"I think what we want to say with this record is instead of all the hate we've seen, instead of all the wackiness we've seen...let's have a love riot," he said. "Our faith is a faith of love. It's the ultimate love that our creator, our maker, our savior came down from the right hand of the Father out of love."

There's really no need to promote the album, however, since "Love Riot" has been getting plenty of love from fans with the recording debuting at the top of Billboard Top Rock Albums chart, and the Top Alternative Albums chart.

Joining the Newsboys on the "Love Riot" tour are The Afters, best known for their single "Beautiful Love," and Ryan Stevenson who released "Eye of the Storm (feat. GabeReal)" in September last year. Bob Lenz, meanwhile, is the author of the books, "Dignity Revolution - Standing Up for the Value of Every Person," and, "Grace - For Those Who Think They Don't Measure Up."
