Following a successful spring leg, playing to capacity audiences across the U.S., legendary Christian group Newsboys is extending its "Newsboys United Tour" with a summer leg, scheduled to make stops in almost 20 additional cities.

Kicking off in June, the summer leg of the tour will feature the current Newsboys lineup, consisting of Michael Tait, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein and Jody Davis along with former bandmates Peter Furler and Phil Joel for what the band describes as "all the hits... under one roof, for one tour."

Promising an electrifying night, Newsboys United will share some of the most popular hits from the band's three-decade career, making stops in places like Birmingham, Ala.; Texarkana, Texas; Enid, Okla.; Savannah, Ga., and Rochester, Minn., among other cities, before concluding Aug. 5 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Sponsored by ChildFund and produced by Premier Productions in partnership with the Newsboys, the "Newsboys United Tour" will feature special guest Zealand, headed by Phil Joel, as well as a special appearance by singer-songwriter Adam Agee.

Speaking about his experience so far from the tour as well as his expectations for the upcoming summer leg, Newsboys frontman Michael Tait says, "Every night I love sharing the stage with my bandmates, past and present. This is one of the most meaningful tours I've ever been part of, and I'm thrilled we can continue the fun this summer."

Newsboys founder and former frontman Peter Furler, who left the band in 2009 for family reasons, adds, "The crowd attendance and response on this 'Newsboys United Tour' has been simply overwhelming. The lads and I are truly excited about extending the tour through the summer."

Currently, Newsboys is nominated for three K-LOVE Fan Awards, Group or Duo of the Year, as well as Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year for "The Cross Has The Final Word (feat. Peter Furler)." The 2018 K-LOVE Fan Awards is held May 27 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn., and nominee voting is open now at klovefanawards.com.
