New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees Says He Is Thankful For 'God's Greatest Gift' (VIDEO)

Christian New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees revealed why he is so grateful to God after he and his wife Brittany gave birth to a new baby on August 25.

"Spent the early morning with our new baby girl!" wrote Brees via Twitter on August 26, along with a picture of himself carrying his new daughter [whose name has not been publicly announced yet], "Brit and she are happy, healthy, and doing great! Gods greatest gift!"

The 35-year-old Austin, Texas native now has four children (Baylen Robert, Bowen Christopher, Callen Christian and the new baby), and the eight-time Pro Bowler revealed how many children he and his wife want to have after their latest bundle of joy (who weighed 7 lbs., 7 oz., and measured 20 inches long).

"Brit was looking at me during that delivery like, 'Hey, this is the last one,'" said Brees to People Magazine, "I think I'm done. Vasectomy. We've got some football games to win first. And then as I've been told by those who have experienced it, do it Saturday before the final round of The Masters (in April) so I've got an excuse to sit around and watch it."

The Super Bowl XLIV Champion revealed what it was like to witness the birth of his little girl in the aforementioned interview.

"It just melted my heart to watch her born," said Brees, "I actually got to take the snap, so to speak, catch her on the way out."

Previously, Drew revealed that despite growing up in a Christian household he officially accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior when he was 17 years old when he attended a church in crutches after tearing his ACL nearly 20 years ago.

"I live for God, for the faith that I have in Him. Knowing the sacrifices that Jesus Christ made on the cross for me and feeling like it's in God's hands, all I have to do is just give my best, commit the rest to Him. Everything else is taken care of. That takes the weight off anybody's shoulders. It's to give you confidence to know that you've got somebody looking out for you," said Brees on The 700 Club in 2010, "God does have a purpose for me that's much greater than football."
