New Nintendo 3DS XL Release Date News: Fourth Device in Series to Launch in US and UK

Nintendo has announced the release date for the New Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL in the US and in Europe, which were first launched in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand in November, last year.

The New Nintendo 3DS will be the fourth system, in the Nintendo 3D family of handheld consoles.

These two limited editions will now be available across the Atlantic on Feb. 13, this year. In other good news coming to all the gamers is that 'The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D' system will be available from select retails and a 'Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate' console will be exclusive to EB Games. Both these special features are said to be available at $299.99.

These two handhelds come with a new and chic C stick functionality and exquisite 3D features that makes the gaming experience more indulging. The new Nintendo 3DS XL also includes NFC technology so that users can add things to their games with Nintendo's Amiibo action figures.

In other news, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, a remake of the well-received Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii is launching exclusively for New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL systems, on April 2.

While some seem happy with these announcements, some seem to be in a haze since there has been no news or information from the company on the release of the regular sized, non-XL systems in the country. Such non-XL versions were launched and released in Japan, along with the New Nintendo 3DS XL, but no news has come out yet on its release either in Europe or the US.
