New Batman Movie 2019 Release Date: Ben Affleck as Dark Knight Rumored to Have Spinoff After 'Justice League' Film

Actor Ben Affleck is rumored to be starring and directing a standalone Batman spin off movie following the release of the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League films.

The rumored movie starring Affleck in the lead role is expected to be released in theaters five years from now, according to a Latino-Review report.

Affleck is currently shooting his scenes in his forthcoming debut as the Cape Crusader, when his character finally meets Superman and Wonder Woman for the very first time in cinema history.

The Oscar winning director (Argo) will star in the Justice League movie, where Batman, Superman and Wonder Women will form a team of  superheroes in order to battle evildoers from the Legion of Doom and the Injustice League factions.

According to Latino-Review, the Justice League film will begin shooting next year before its potential release date of May 2017. Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's director Zack Snyder is set to work on the untitled Justice League movie.

Additionally the Latino-Review mentioned that their unidentified sources said the title for the rumored Batman film, which Affleck would star and direct in, is currently titled as The Batman. The alleged The Batman movie is rumored to be released on the big screen in 2019.

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
