With the holiday season rapidly approaching, many Netflix subscribers are eagerly awaiting the great new movies available each week around Christmas. On that note, Netflix has gone ahead and released a list that shows which new Blu-Ray and DVD titles will be available on their streaming service for the month of December.

Netflix December 2014 schedule was obtained and shared by Movie Insider, and the movies included on Netflix's list are definitely worth waiting for.

The Netfilx December 2014 movie list is as below:

Dec. 1: The animated movie 'The Hero of Color City' will be released, which is an adventure movie that is meant for kids to enjoy.

Dec. 8: Netflix will release 'Let's Be Cops', which stars Damon Wayans Jr. and Jake Johnson who play cops in the film. 'Frank', a comedy movie starring Michael Fassbender will also be released on the same day.

Dec. 11: The release of the hit animated movie 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' will be another treat for the kids.

Dec. 15: Netflix will release as many as five movies on this day, including the romantic love story 'If I Stay', 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles', 'Into the Storm', 'Stonehearst Asylum' and 'And So It Goes'.

Dec. 22: This day will be welcomed by 'The Trip' fans, as Netflix will release the comedy movie 'The Trip to Italy'."

Dec. 29: Netflix will make 'A Good Marriage' and 'Reach Me' available.

This list is incomplete and Netflix has plans to release some more wonderful movies to augment the viewers' Christmas celebrations this year.
