'NCIS' Season 14 Episode 9 Recap, Spoilers: Team Deals With A Case Involving Congresswoman Flemming

The NCIS team will take on a case involving Congresswoman Jenna Flemming in the upcoming episode of "NCIS" season 14.

Titled "Pay to Play," the episode will follow Gibbs and his team as they guard the congresswoman and find out who has been sending her death threats.

Based on the synopsis for the episode, the team will investigate every aspect of her life as they try to track down all the potential suspects. Director Vance will also arrange a temporary protection detail for Flemming, but there is no assurance that this will be enough to keep her from danger.

The synopsis for episode 9 reads, "The NCIS team investigates a series of escalating threats against Congresswoman Jenna Flemming, while Director Vance oversees temporary protection detail."

In the previous episode, the NCIS investigated the murder of a Navy chaplain. His records said he was killed in a car crash. However, the result of the investigation revealed otherwise. It turned out that he was already dead before the accident happened, and the main culprit was a suspected terrorist.

Towards the end of the episode, it was revealed that the chaplain discovered that the members of his religious group had been stealing funds meant for charities. Since he already knew the truth, they had to kill him and make his death look like an accident.

The previous episode also offered a first glimpse at Bishop's new boyfriend. At first, she was hesitant to admit to her siblings that she was already dating someone new after her separation from her ex-husband. However, Gibbs told her it did not matter so she decided to bring Qasim Naasir to finally meet them.

"NCIS" season 14, episode 9 airs on December 6 on CBS.
