NBA Live 15, NBA 2K15 Release Date Clash, Both Will Be Availiable on All Consoles

EA Sports' NBA Live 15 alongside 2K Sports' NBA 2K15 will be released this year, October 15. The two rival developers are undergoing creation of the two new upcoming sequels most likely available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Scott O'Gallagher, a former professional basketball player, has been working closely with EA Sports in collaboration for the NBA Live game series since the summer of 2012. O'Gallagher is now suspected to be working with 2K Sports after leaving EA.

Good Game Bro reported that the retired player's offered position has not yet been made clear, but it apparently deals with NBA 2K15's gameplay oriented development. Any further evidence can be found on the player's Twitter where 2K Sports and 2K Games Staff have been following him.

O'Gallagher recently worked with EA Sports with the NBA Live 14 release, but it received a poor rating from Metacritic. This was despite EA improving gameplay mechanics especially in signature dribbling and team-specific defenses.

The report has found the player's switch to a rival company strange as company switching does not usually happen during mid-development of a game. This is the case for both companies as the player had left during the development of NBA Live 15, and entered midway through in NBA 2K15.

2K Sports has yet to release any photos or videos regarding the development of their game, whereas EA Sports has shown their new game to sport better graphics. Arena lighting has been changed, while the jerseys of the players have been scanned to have a similar looks to the real ones down to the stitching and wrinkles.
