‘Nashville’ Season 3 Spoilers: Hayden Panettiere Baby Bump Will Be Written Into New Season?

The second season of "Nashville' ended on a strong note despite the mixed reactions from fans and critics on the first few episodes. Now that ABC has scheduled the Season 3 premiere on September 24th on its usual Wednesday night time-slot, fans are wondering what lies ahead in the new season.

Hayden Panettiere, who plays pop/country star Juliette Barnes, is pregnant in real life and fans have been guessing whether the show will write it into the script or try to hide it in Season 3. Panettiere spoke with TVLine about different scenarios and the many possibilities that the writers could play around with. Personally, she would like to see Juliette and Deacon (Chip Esten) together again.

"We were together so much for the first year, and when you get to know somebody that well as an actor, it allows you to really delve into things in a way that is very free and real and raw," said Panettiere.

Juliette was last seen at an all-time low and indulging in alcohol instead of facing her problems, much like what she used to do in Season 1. Meanwhile, Deacon is on the road to recovery from his own alcoholism and is unable to help Juliette with her issues. Panettiere thinks that Deacon could help her character deal with the fallout from her breakup with Avery and her one-night stand with Jeff Fordham.

If the "Nashville' writers do write in Panettiere's pregnancy, one major source of drama is figuring out who the father is. Would it be Jeff, Avery, or Deacon?

Watch the Season 3 premiere of "Nashville' on ABC on September 24th.
