'Modern Family's Sarah Hyland to Star & Produce Indie Film 'See You in Valhalla' Also Appearing in Lifetime/A&E/History's 'Bonnie and Clyde' miniseries

 

'Modern Family's Sarah Hyland to Star & Produce Indie Film 'See You in Valhalla' and Appearing in Lifetime/A&E/History's 'Bonnie and Clyde' miniseries

 

Sarah Hyland, 22, the popular actress who plays the "cool" teenager in the hit show "Modern Family" is keeping busy these days. 

Along with her acting, Hyland is working on her producing chops. She will produce and star in the new low budget indie film, See You in Valhalla

The upcoming movie is about the story of Jo Burwood (Hyland), a young woman who returns home to reunite with her estranged family after the death of her brother. With family secrets, old flames, small-town gossip and an uncomfortable family reunion looming, Jo must find a way to navigate and accept her past while preserving her present. 

See You in Valhalla will be directed by Jarret Tarnol, produced by Sarah Hyland, Matt Prokop and Bernie Gewissler. The film is due out in 2014. 

Hyland will also be appearing in the upcoming "Bonnie & Clyde" miniseries by Lifetime/History/A&E.  She will play the sister-in-law to Clyde Barrow, played by Emile Hirsch. William Hurt and Holly Hunter will also star in the series. 

"Bonnie & Clyde" will be a four-part miniseries that will run simultaneously on History, A&E and Lifetime networks. Miley Cyrus was on the radar to be in the series as well, but has decided to drop out.  

Hyland will also star in the upcoming Lifetime original movie Call Me Crazy: A Five Film
