Aside from the ducklings running around the house, Alex is set to face a pivotal challenge in "Modern Family" season 7, according to the recent spoilers.

According to Christian Today, fans are going to see whether Alex would follow Phil's suggestion about staying in the dormitory or commuting to school everyday.

"Modern Family" season 7 episode 11 is entitled "Spread Your Wings." The episode saw Alex tell Phil that she wanted to commute, rather than stay inside the campus. Also, fans saw Phil visit his daughter to check how the latter was doing without their presence. It is assumed that Phil was surprised to hear Alex's thoughts, since the latter wanted to stay in a dorm while studying.

As per Spoilers Guide, the episode saw Phil's ducklings as they overstayed their welcome, which led Claire and the children opt to nudge the process of spreading their wings. Claire and her children had been exhausted of sharing their home with Phil's ducklings, according to a synopsis shared by Disney ABC Press.

Previously, Phil found some duck eggs in one of the properties on his list and opted to bring them home, keeping an eye on them as they prepare to hatch. However, the ducklings caused some mess, as they always ran around the house. As a result, Claire sought for Haley and Luke's help to help get rid of the ducklings, with Phil outside to visit Alex in college.

Gloria also continued her hot sauce business in "Modern Family" season 7. Previously, Cam persuaded Gloria to remake her family's hot sauce recipe and sell it to the market. While Gloria is on fire about pushing her business, she experiences shortage of hot chili peppers, her product's main ingredient.
