Michael Schumacher Coma Condition Update: Driver Being Sued Despite Ongoing Coma [VIDEO]

Former Formula 1 Champion Michael Schumacher may be facing criminal charges even though he is currently still in a medically-induced coma following a skiing accident December 29, 2013.

Even though Schumacher's medical condition has looked bleak for many months now, Sabine Kehm, Schumacher's manager, has reported a slight improvement in his condition recently, and the 45-year-old race car driver has reportedly been showing short moments of consciousness.

"There are moments when he is awake and moments when he is conscious, which make us happy and give us great courage," said Kehm.

Even thought he is still fighting for his life, Schumacher is facing a complaint filed by a Spanish biker regarding a road crash that took place weeks before his fall. The complainant, who refused to be named, claims that the F1 ace knocked him off of his bike after he failed to give way at a spot between Bormujos and Seville.

The alleged victim is asking for compensation for his broken wrist, his clothes, and damage to his watch and motorbike in the alleged road crash on November 17.

Included in the report was the company that hired Schumacher the Audi A4 and its insurers.

If the trial is approved, police have confirmed that the German F1 seven-time title winner will not be obliged to attend court hearings. Investigators are also looking at the poor road lighting along the roundabout route that possibly caused the collision.

Schumacher's family remain positive about his outlook, but even though the renowned F1 racer is showing small positive signs of recovery, doctors warned there is a difference between his state of being awake and being fully conscious.

Kehm said, "I don't want to disclose details out of respect for the family, but we have no doubt at all in the abilities of the doctors treating Michael, they are experts in their field."
