Miami Heat NBA News, Rumors: Training Camp Update - Losing LeBron James Changed Gameplan

Fans of the Miami Heat have been wondering whether the team will stand a chance in the upcoming NBA season. For the first time in years, the team will be entering a new NBA season without the services of the four-time MVP LeBron James, after he recently decided to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Although James is surely a big loss for the team, reports say that other players for Miami Heat may have more motivation to prove that the team is still a great contender for the 69th season of the league.

True enough, Miami Heat players are doing everything they can in preparation for the training camp.

Dwyane Wade reportedly lost weight in preparation for a bigger offensive role on the team by trying Ray Allen's recommended paleo diet. Wade wanted to slim down so as not to cause too much stress and inflammation on his knees.

Chris Bosh has also been preparing for the upcoming season by teaming with trainer Ed Downs and Miles Simon, who claim Bosh will be coming into camp in great shape, equipped with skills and a mindset to play on the low block again.

Mario Chalmers, who just signed a two year contract allegedly worth $8.3 million, has also been busy working out with the rest of the team in preparation for the next season. He has been training at the P3 sports training complex in Santa Barbara.

In an interview, Chalmers stated that for the upcoming season, he might finally show his real game.

"I feel like I've finally got a chance to shine, show my real game. Me, CB, D-Wade and the rest of the guys, we're going to pick it up, we're still going to play Miami Heat basketball, and we're still gonna be a competitor," Chalmers said.

Meanwhile, Miami Heat's coaching staff are also preparing for the next season.

On Wednesday, the team's management added Keith Smart and former Miami Heat player Chris Quinn to the coaching staff, and promoted David Fizdale as assistant head coach.
