'Metal Gear Online' Latest News: Konami Temporarily Suspends Beta For PC

"Metal Gear Online" beta for PC has been recently suspended by Konami, as per recent gaming reports.

Konami temporarily halted the beta for "Metal Gear Online" on PC, due to the presence of an MB exploit, according to Cinema Blend. As per the publication, the said exploit had let gamers to get free cash shop coins to buy items from the cash shop during the beta. The arcade game company reportedly issued a hotfix to solve the exploit in the beta.

In a suspension statement in "Metal Gear Online's" Steam Community, Konami said that due to a possible exploit, the company had removed access to the Beta temporarily while a hotfix is being prepared. It has been added that once the issue was addressed, access to the Beta would be provided once again.

The repair period took around ten hours, since the developers had to remove the exploit that enabled PC gamers to obtain free MB coins, the virtual currency that is paid for using real money. The online mode for "Metal Gear Online" yields revenue, which is dependent on the small transactions in the cash shop, including accessories, outfits, and gears.

The player's power to buy MB coins without getting charged stands as a serious problem for Konami's gamecounters, according to Kotaku.

As per PC Gamer, "Metal Gear Online" had been live for consoles for some months and various gaming platforms said that getting such "wrinkles" ironed out was what a beta was for.

"Metal Gear Online's" online mode can be accessed on the Xbox and PlayStation home consoles.

Meanwhile, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" PC release date is yet to be revealed; it is assumed that it would not take long following the completion of the beta phases.
