Christian contemporary worship band MercyMe made history the night of the Dove Awards as it was announced during the show that their hit song "I Can Only Imagine" reached over two million downloads.

The group also won a Dove Award for Short Form Video of the Year for the song "Shake" off their album Welcome to the New. "The entire night was really pretty awesome! I didn't see the 2 million download thing coming at all. It was pretty surreal to be onstage with Lecrae as well - just unbelievable really, and overall a great night - I had a blast!" said frontman Bart Millard in a release.

"I Can Only Imagine" was off their debut album Almost There, where it became the first Christian song to go Platinum.

Welcome to the New reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. It maxed out on No. 3 on iTunes Overall Albums Chart and No. 1 on Christian Albums Chart.

MercyMe was recently announced as the headliners for the Rock & Worship Roadshow tour 2015.

"We are so excited to be back on the Roadshow," shared Millard in a release, "We collectively knew as a band we needed to take the year off to give other artists the opportunity to be part of the tour, and Third Day and Skillet did an outstanding job headlining the 2014 run. MercyMe did promise the fans that we'd be back, and we cannot wait for it to begin."

The event is just $10 at the door, and is one of Christian music's biggest events. It will begin in October and there will be $50 VIP tickets available as well. This will give fans a Q&A with the artists, a t-shirt, early seating, and a tour laminate.

Joining MercyMe will be: Crowder, Matt Maher, Jamie Grace, Tedashii, Group 1 Crew, introducing I Am They and Jon Guerra, and special guest speaker Shaun Groves.
