MercyMe Receives Top Honors At 6th Annual K-Love Fan Awards; Plus Big Wins For Cory Asbury's "Reckless Love"

Acclaimed artist MercyMe received top honors at the 2018 K-Love Fan Awards held Sunday in Nashville, Tenn., garnering a win in all nominated categories. The band was nominated and won in Group or Duo of the Year, Song of the Year for "Even If," and Artist of the Year, as well celebrated the win in Film Impact for the box office hit I Can Only Imagine, inspired by the band's 2001 No. 1 double-platinum-selling hit single.

Bethel Music artist Cory Asbury also won big this year with his 2017 hit song "Reckless Love," being awarded both Worship Song of the Year, and Breakout Single.

Hosted by Grammy-winning artists Matthew West and Mandisa, the 6th Annual K-Love Fan Awards took place at Nashville's iconic Grand Ole Opry. The evening included performances from some of the biggest names in Christian music, including Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Cory Asbury featuring Francesca Battistelli, For King & Country, Hillsong Worship, Jordan Feliz, Mandisa, Matt Maher, MercyMe featuring Trace Adkins, Newsboys United, Tauren Wells featuring Natalie Grant, TobyMac, We Are Messengers featuring Social Club Misfits, as well as Zach Williams and Matthew West, whose performance was a moving tribute to the late Rev. Billy Graham.

The K-Love Fan Awards began in 2013 and are held every year with the mission to "create a fan experience that celebrates and promotes artists, athletes, authors, and entertainers who, with excellence, engage and impact popular culture for Jesus Christ." A recording of the 2018 K-Love Fan Awards will be broadcast on TBN this Thursday, May 31, at 8 p.m. ET.
