'Mass Effect 4' Latest News: Protheans to Make a Return in New Game?

The hype over the 'Mass Effect 4' has been growing since the Canadian video game developer, BioWare, released a teaser about this anticipated sci-fi action RPG third person shooter game at E3 2014. A lot of the hype comes from the idea that Protheans will be making a comeback in the fourth installment of the franchise.

The Protheans race is considered to be aliens of high stature in the Mass Effect Universe. Currently, 'Mass Effect 4' is said to be in development, and there are rumors that the Protheans will be making a return in the fourth sequel.

Although the fans are very keen that this alien race rules the Mass Effect Universe, it appears to be unlikely to happen. It is believed that the rumors regarding the Protheans making a comeback in the next installment of the game actually have their origin in the leaked conceptual prototype image. In fact, nearly all gamers are aware that prototypes are often discarded and they do not evolve into the game.

Considering the fact that 'Mass Effect 4' is already halfway into production, there seems to be very little possibility for the Protheans to return to the game in the forthcoming sequel.

Meanwhile, a report in the Movie Pilot says that highly-criticized ending of 'Mass Effect 3' might reflect the franchise moving forward into 'Mass Effect 4'.

It further says that this is the reason why the developers should look more to 'Mass Effect 3' with a view to do right in 'Mass Effect 4'. The website suggests merging several multiplayer elements as a key factor of 'Mass Effect 4', most importantly, the diverse play styles between races.
