Manny Pacquiao News: Two-Decade Boxing Career Ends After Pacquiao-Bradley III

World famous boxer turned politician Manny Pacquiao confirms that his upcoming fight with Timothy Bradley Jr. will be his last.

Congressman Pacquiao will be running for senator in the Philippines in May, but before that, he will step on the ring with Bradley on April 9 at the MGM Grand.

Pacquiao is a former eight-division champion who fought in the ring for two decades. He is seeking his 58th win, and is also hoping to snatch Bradley's World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title.

"I am retiring from boxing to concentrate on my political career. My fight with Timothy Bradley will be my last," Pacquiao said according to Sky Sports.

While everybody agrees that Pacquiao is the Filipino's boxing hero, he also happens to be the one of the congressmen with the most number of absences.

The announcement of Pacquiao-Bradley III was done amidst rumors that the 37-year-old boxer is willing to come out of retirement to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. on more time.

"I did not say anything like that. Nobody interviewed me about that. I will retire after my April 9 fight," said Pacquiao according to Christian Today.

The Filipino boxer lost to Mayweather via unanimous decision last May in the highest-earning match in the history of boxing.

Pacquiao's camp claims he was nursing a rotator cuff injury which affected the way he moved and his punching. Since then, the talks of a rematch has been undying.

Four days after the fight, Pacquiao went through surgery. He took some time off to recover before revealing his bout with Bradley.

Pacquiao ruled in the first Pacquiao-Bradley fights, but Bradley's training under Teddy Atlas will make things harder for the challenger. Bradley has show immense improvement during his fight with Brandon Rios.
