MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date Rumors, Specs: Latest Device Arriving June 13 Or Q4 2016; Thinner, Lighter Than Predecessor?

New details on the release date and specifications of the MacBook Pro 2016 have been revealed.

Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to hit the shops in the summer this year, particularly at the WWDC 2016 event, which is set to commence on June 13, according to Mac World. The rumors came after the Cupertino-based tech company remained silent on the release date details for the device at the spring event in March.

While the WWDC 2016 event is a potential time for Apple to announce its MacBook Pro 2016, it is also possible for the tech giant to unveil its newest laptop line at an earlier date. As per the publication, Apple is known to deliver some surprise updates from time to time. A case in point was when the company announced its new 12-inch MacBook 2016 at a simple press release on Apr. 19. Thus, it could also happen to the MacBook Pro 2016.

Along with the June 13 release date rumor, another speculation for the MacBook Pro 2016 release is in the fourth quarter of the year, as per KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, as cited by Christian Daily. Still, Apple has the final word on the official release date for the forthcoming MacBook device.

In terms of specifications, it is revealed that the MacBook Pro 2016 is set to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Also, its keyboard is set to include a butterfly mechanism, which was initially introduced in Apple's 12-inch MacBook. Aside from the Touch ID, the physical function keys of the device are set to be replaced by OLED display touch bar. The laptop s also set to have 2304 by 1440 resolution, in addition to the newest Skylake processors and Thunderbolt 2/USB-C.

Overall, Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 is assumed to be released either on June 13 or in the final quarter of 2016.
