Mac OS X Mavericks Release Date October 15 / New Apple Software Unveil with iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2

The OS X Mavericks release date is rumored to be as soon as next week. October 15, to be exact.

The new computer software will be shown off at a special tech event where Apple is also launching the new iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.

Like most new Apple software and devices, details leaked online before the official unveil. In fact photos recently popped up online of a screenshot of the new software. The leaked screenshot is evidence that Apple employees have been able to download OS Mavericks for some time now.

The Cuptertino-based tech company designed OS X Mavericks to be aesthetically and functionally compatible with the new iOS 7, which means it will follow the same minimalist design.

Rumor has it that OS X Mavericks, codenamed Syrah, has been promoted to Gold Master status. That's the level, Apple labels a new product when it's ready to be shipped out and installed on Mac computers.

Users will be able to download OS X Mavericks from the App Store straight to their Mac computers.

Apple will unveil the new OS X Mavericks, alongside the new iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2, at the October 15 event. No official release date has been confirmed for when Apple will roll out the new products to retailers.
