'Longmire' Season 6 Release Date On Netflix, News & Rumors: Craig Johnson Confirms Series Renewed For Another Season

The "Longmire" season 6 release date on Netflix is still very much in limbo, even if its fans initiated a stampede to pressure the network into working on new episodes for the series.

The fansite tried to get members into sharing the hashtag #RenewLongmireNetflix in order to get the necessary momentum to go viral. However, the site said that they failed to trend-a term used when a post receive a high number of shares-although it quickly added that the hashtag was "super busy."

That doesn't bode well for the "Longmire" season 6 release date on Netflix at all, especially since the rumors have not given any specifics on the show.

But according to this report, "Longmire" actor and writer Craig Johnson has confirmed that Netflix has renewed the show for another season.

However, the Twitter fansite for the show is much less optimistic about the possibility of a renewal even as it continues to push Netflix for new episodes. As to the question of a fan for the "Longmire" release date, It wrote, "assuming we're renewed, same time next year."

If season 5 is going to be it for "Longmire," the show would leave a bad taste in the mouth for fans who were teased about the possible romance between Sheriff Walt and his deputy, Vic Moretti, who is revealed to be pregnant. Will this new development turn off Walt?
