'Left 4 Dead 3' Rumor: Zombie Apocalypse Game Gets 2017 Release Date, Four Characters’ Names Revealed

"Left 4 Dead 3" is set to be released next year while its characters' names have been revealed, according to the latest reports.

Valve is not only shifting its gears on a "Left 4 Dead 3" game, but it is also aiming to release the said game installment in 2017, according to Express UK.

Reported to have come out in 2009, it is also indicated that the video game installment had already been given names. The three male characters were Irvin the gangster, Keenan the comic book geek, and Garrett Jr., the famous Kenpo fighter. The only female character will be known as Katherine.

Previous reports also revealed that "Left 4 Dead 3" is set to feature six separate gaming campaigns. They are No Mercy, Inquisitor Land, Crashland, Cliff-Hanger, Early Destination, and Impasse.

The upcoming "Left 4 Dead 3" game is rumored to be a prequel, according to Screen Rant. However, whether the game feeds gamers with information on the reason the world is inhabited with zombies remains vague at this point.

As per the publication, the new "Left 4 Dead 3" rumor is not the first in the game franchise's history. It is mentioned that in 2013, some photos in a PowerPoint presentation had featured what had appeared to be a reworked version of "Left 4 Dead 2's" plantation map, which was rendered in the Source 2.0 game engine.

While the said plantation map had leaked, Valve made no official announcements relating it to the game and reports added that the said map was nonexistent in the list of campaigned rumored in the game.

The aforementioned information is yet to be confirmed. However, it is noted that Valve has opted to push the "Left 4 Dead" franchise after holding its plans for its "Half Life 3" game installment, allowing "Left 4 Dead 3" speculations remain circulating online for the time being.
