Christian rapper Lecrae was on the Bad Christian Podcast this Sunday where he spoke about temptation, being a light to secular artists, and having an abortion with his girlfriend.

Lecrae opened up about his life, much like how he said his new album will be the most personal of his releases. The rapper even joked he had to call his mother to speak on some of the issues.

One of the more revealing things he said was about talking a girlfriend into having an abortion 11 years ago, "I pressured my girlfriend years ago to have an abortion. I talk about how that affected us, and how it affected me." He said it is an interesting perspective because it is rarely told from the guy's point of view.

Lecrae also spoke about the temptations he faces as someone in his position. He faces more scrutiny because he is a Christian artist, so if he falls, more people are going to jump on him about it.

"I'm not some rogue renegade Christian. I'm very aware of all the temptations and struggles around me," he said. What helps Lecrae stay grounded is he has a great support system and people around him. He also takes the necessary steps and precautions to ensure he places himself in the right situations.

The Anomaly then explained his take on Christians who condemn him for fellowshipping with secular rappers in the industry. He used the perfect example of being like Jesus, who rubbed elbows with sinners so they could grow closer to Him. Lecrae knows he has a duty as a Christian to be around these people and be the best light he can be.

"I think some of it is self-righteouness. What it comes down to is fear and pride...People who are afraid that you can do what they can't do. Cast their own fears on me, and their own struggles," he explained, "Some people feel like they are better than others because of what they avoid," which in turn makes them "look better."
