Lecrae Discusses 'Anomaly' Album and Dealing with Groupies on 'Sway in the Morning'; 'You're More Valuable Than All That' (VIDEOS)

Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae appeared on the "Sway in the Morning" show to talk about his upcoming album Anomaly and share his thoughts on rap music, Christianity, and how he feels about groupies.

Lecrae was asked about whether he gets groupies and casually explained how he deals with women who throw themselves at him, "When I see the young girls...ya'll are hurting, ya'll are insecure, you're more valuable than all that," he said.

He made the analogy about a cheap car and an expensive one. He said everyone knows where to get a cheap car from the commercials, but the expensive cars do not need advertising. He told his sister she needs to be the expensive car, more valuable and worth the price, not something anyone can have.

He was later asked questions in a game where he picked randomly out of a sack. Two of the questions looked to waver Lecrae, but he stuck to his Christian roots and answered honestly. One was about if he ever slept with a co-worker. He thought about it for a second and said, "I've never worked with my wife." The second question asked him about having a "three-some" to which he dismissed and said it would never happen.

Perhaps the takeaway quote from the whole interview is what he said to Sway regarding people being critical toward him.

"If you live for their acceptance, you'll die from their rejection," he said.

Watch the interview below:

"Lecrae gives praise to Jesus in his rhymes, doesn't cuss in his rhymes -- but also doesn't like to be categorized as a Christian rapper," the video description reads on YouTube, "This MC stopped by Sway in the Morning and opened up about groupies on the road and how easy it is to look through the temptation."
