'Heroes Of The Storm' News: Patch Features New Quests, Heroes And Battlegronds

Details on the latest patch of Blizzard Entertainment's "Heroes of the Storm" have surfaced and they include new quests, heroes, and battlefields.

The game's patch notes include new special event called Xel'naga Artifact Hunt. According to "Heroes of the Storm's" official website, the artifacts have appeared all across the Nexus and SCVs are tasked to gather them.

For the daily quest, players have to gather twelve artifact pieces in a single game and they shall be rewarded one day stimpack. On the other hand, the event quest requires collecting 150 artifact pieces prior to the Machines of War liftoff from the Nexus, which is slated for Oct. 18. The reward is a Xel'naga artifact portrait.

As per the webpage, the SCVs and the artifact pieces both have 50 percent chance to spawn when the game starts, if one of the team players has not yet finished his artifact hunt daily quest. It is given that the task is challenging when done singlehandedly, so teammates have to work hand in hand to get rid of the SCVs and get the artifact pieces before the game starts.

The game patch also adds a new hero to players' collections. Upon login, players will be able to choose among three heroes - Anub'arak, Thrall, or Tyrande. In case the player already has the aforementioned three, the choices will be Nazeebo, Sonya, or Uther. Players who already have all six heroes will receive 4,000 gold

In terms of battlefields, various battlegrounds are set to be available in all game modes, barring Custom Games. As per the report, the pool will be restricted to Braxis Holdout, Cursed Hollow, Infernal Shrines, Sky Temple, Tomb of the Spider Queen, and Towers of Doom.

The game update also adds heroes and items to the shop. As per Gamespot, they include Alarak, The Butcher, Ghost Speeder Kerrigan, Obsidian Cyberwolf, and Rexxar, among others.

With the game's new patch, it is assumed that the gameplay is set to become more challenging and engaging at the same time.
