LA Lakers Rumors, NBA News 2014: Jeremy Lin ‘Excited’ to be in LA, Says LA-Rockets Trade was a ‘Breath of Fresh Air’

Jeremy Lin, who switched over to Los Angeles Lakers this year, says he is very happy to be a part of the NBA franchise. Describing the trade between Los Angeles and Houston Rockets as "a breath of fresh air," Lin recently remarked that he is excited to be in LA.

Talking about his signing in for LA Lakers at the Madame Tussads in San Francisco recently, Lin said, "I'm definitely excited to be in LA," adding, "How I describe it, it is a fresh start. It's a breath of fresh air to be able to start somewhere new."

The 26-year-old NBA star further stated, "I think it'll be really fun, really challenging. I enjoyed my time in Houston, but I'm definitely focused in on next year."

In an interview with Lakers Nation, Lin said that he would be a "subplot" during the Lakers-Houston Rockets opener, which is scheduled for October 28. It is worth mentioning here that LA traded Lin from the Houston Rockets, where he played for the 2013-14 season.

"To be honest, I think I'm a subplot," Lin said, adding, "I'm glad, but it's not an opening night centered on me. It's more Kobe and Dwight."

Elaborating, Lin further said, "It kind of reminds me of me going back to New York. Every time I go back to New York now, it's not really as nearly a big of a deal. It was James versus Melo, and now it's Kobe versus Melo. So, I do think it'll be fun. It'll be interesting. I think we're all pretty excited for the game."

Meanwhile, Lin's teammate Kobe Bryant has scored the highest points in the NBA history compared to any other basketball player by his 36th birthday. A report by FTW reads, "In his 18 seasons in the NBA, he's had 31,700 points, 6,601 rebounds, 5,925 assists, 1,835 steals and 620 blocks. These figures are incredible on their own, but more so considering Kobe's age."
