The Los Angeles Angeles will encounter the Kansas City Royals this Thursday night at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. The game will start at 9:07 pm ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).

Los Angeles ace Jared Weaver (18-9, 3.59 ERA) is looking to dominate the Royals batters as he is expected to start Game 1 of the 2014 American League Division Series Round on October 2.

Weaver's longtime Angels skipper Mike Scioscia recently gave his thoughts on another pitcher who helped Los Angeles (98-64) advance to the postseason this year.

"Matt Shoemaker saved our season," said Scioscia to reporters, "He's got to be the story of the year for our team, and it might be the biggest surprise in the league. Matt's been a guy who has always had to prove himself. Even this year he had to prove himself. But he got the opportunity and he's made the most of it."

Los Angeles Angels star Josh Hamilton also revealed his current status for the upcoming game against Kansas City.

"I feel good, just like yesterday. I ran, threw, faced a lot of pitching, so I'm good to go," said Hamilton to reporters. "There's always pain, but the point is that I'm not having muscle spasms. It's been responding well every day. I didn't have any spasms after I finished, so I'll see how it responds tomorrow."

Meanwhile, The Royals (89-73) are looking to continue their winning ways after beating the Oakland A's by 9-8 on September 30 in extra innings.

In the aforementioned game, Royals catcher Salvador Perez knocked in the game winning RBI single in the 12th inning to help his squad advance to the American League Division Series in order to face the Los Angeles Angeles.

"This team showed a lot of character tonight," said Eric Hosmer to reporters after the dramatic finish of American League Wildcard game, "We weren't going to quit."
