'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date, News: Square Enix Leaks New Trailer At E3 2016? Title Gets April 2017 Launch

New details on the announcement and release date of Square Enix's "Kingdom Hearts 3" have surfaced and it looks like the upcoming title is set to hit the latter part of the year.

Despite fans' anticipation for "Kingdom Hearts 3" Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 event, it is now assumed that Square Enix will reveal more details on "Kingdom Hearts 3" in December, according to Design and Trend.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is assumed to be unveiled at the E3 event; however, Square Enix has raised its curtains for the trailer of a title called "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" instead, as per Movie News Guide. While this may have left fans dismayed, the said trailer concluded with the "Kingdom Hearts 3" logo, along with a subtitle that reads "upcoming announcements this winter."

With the subtitle, it is also rumored that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is set to be revealed at Disney-sponsored events like the D23 Expo or "Star Wars" celebration, but these events are unlikely to fall in the winter. The announcement for the upcoming title could also take place at Sony's PlayStation Experience 2016, as it is usually held in December; nonetheless, the game can just be revealed online or at an exclusive event.

Meanwhile, "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" is confirmed to be launched through a half-hour presentation on June 15 at 4 p.m. PT. Co-director is set to present the title and discuss new and existing details on the new game after the latest trailer release.
