'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date News & Rumors: Baymax And Rapunzel Going To Appear In Gameplay

It took around 10 years for Square Enix to release "Final Fantasy XV," and it has been just as long since fans of "Kingdom Hearts" started waiting for the release date of its third installment.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is one of the most anticipated games of 2017. While its developer has not given any official announcement yet about its release date, fans keep themselves pretty occupied with finding clues about the upcoming game's possible developments.

Recent reports claim that the new game will again feature Sora, who is now equipped with new abilities and techniques.

The trailer for the video game offers a quick look at the introductory commands for skills like jumping and wall-running. This also provides a sneak peek at the different transformations of weaponry, as well as how Sora summons power and fuses with Donald and Goofy. Some reports also claim that "Kingdom Hearts 2" will feature Disney characters Rapunzel and Baymax.

There are speculations that an evil Baymax will appear in the gameplay, but the game developer has yet to confirm that. As for its plot, there are rumors that players will have to gather all the seven guardians of the light while they are being treated to new worlds.

Meanwhile, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is rumored to draw inspiration from Disney film "Tangled." Set in the Kingdom of Corona, the game will also offer a "Big Hero 6"-inspired environment. Despite this change, Olympus, Twilight and Mysterious Tower from the first two titles will still be available in the upcoming game.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is expected to come out in April, 2017.
