Kim Soo Hyun of ‘My Love From the Stars’ Is Record-Breaking Commercial Star

Kim Soo Hyun is considered the King of Commercials in China and South Korea where he appeared in 15 commercials and other endorsements in 35 different countries. His soap The Moon that Embraces the Sun has reached an end rating of 45.8% in his country together with You Who Came from the Stars, a box office television series, according to Nielsen data.

KeyEast, his management company, emphasized that the actor's priority is to work on quality acting projects, "Even during his busy schedules traveling from Korea to China, he is always considering different scripts," a KeyEast representative said, "Acting projects have more priority than commercials. After some more consideration, Kim Soo Hyun will return to fans with another good project."

KeyEast clarified that their goal is to maximize Soo Hyun's time to produce and collaborate on projects that will enhance his image and forward his advocacies.

Aside from his television commercials, 26-year-old Kim Soo Hyun starred in films like Secretly, Greatly and Thieves with actress Jun Ji Hyun. Soo Hyun's net worth has exceeded $1.2 billion, setting him as the fourth richest celebrity in South Korea, according to Forbes. His recent endorsements include, Häagen Dazs, Coca-Cola, Hyundai, Samsung, Coca Cola, Yi Li, and The Face Shop.

The actor is also active in humanitarian efforts. In fact, in his recent Asian tour, Soo Hyun donated $300,000 to the victims of the Sewol ferry tragedy who were mostly students of Danwon School. He is also a supporter of China Children & Teenager's Fund, in which he helps the foundation establish a medical treatment facility for its orphans.
