The Discovery Channel's television series "Killing Fields" just started to air in televisions on Feb. 2. The latest show is about a retired detective who teamed up with other case experts to investigate the murder of Eugenie Voisfontaine- a college student who was brutally killed in a small town of Baton Rouge, LA in 1997.

So what could we expect from the reality TV series? The first episode revealed that detectives Aubrey St. Angelo, Leslie Bradford and Major Ronald Hebert tried to get in touch with the victim's former husband, notes Enstarz.

But sooner, St. Angelo will begin to suspect Voisfontaine's husband, believing that he knows more about the incident. "I think Eugenie's ex-husband is scared to sit down across the table from us and let us look into his eyes and see what we might see," he said.

More than that, Major Hebert also believes that it was odd that the husband had no idea of the murder which happened nearly 20 years ago. For that, we can assume that the Episode 2 will continue to prove the truth about what the victims really know.

Whatever it is, "Killing Fields" could be a hit among watchers who wants a real- life investigative series.

Meanwhile, detective Rodie Sanchez revealed that he has not gone far to southern Louisiana that often, but he is more than willing to go so he could solve the mysterious crime.

"This is the second or third time I've ever traveled out of Louisiana in my life," he said, as quoted from Lansing State Journal. "If I'm not there, I'm not happy." He chose Aubrey St. Angelo, whose a former colleague's son, as his partner. Hence, "Killing Fields" had begun.
