Christian indie pop/experimental artist Kevin Max is getting ready to release the B-Sides of his groundbreaking solo debut Stereotype Be on August 28.

Stereotype Be-Sides will give everybody a chance to hear some of the left out rarities or alternate version of the orignal popular album 15 years later.

"Stereotype Be-Sides is officially releasing August 28, the same day of the album Stereotype Be's release 14 years ago- the album will feature demos and outtakes from the making of the Stereotype Be sessions as well as Live performances at Frizon festival in Sweden... Be-Sides is a predecessor to a bigger package which will be available in 2016 for the 15 year Anniversary of SB, which will include Vinyl, EPK and acoustic versions of the album- Be-Sides can be purchased at www.kevinmax.com and iTunes ... select songs are now streaming at www.soundcloud.com/officialkevinmax" wrote K-Max on Facebook.

Max also recently announced his next solo project, a covers album called Starry Eyes.

Max has been sending subtle hints about it over the last few months including his interview with BREATHEcast.

"'Starry Eyes' is a project I have been working on under the radar after my release of 'Broken Temples'.... As many of you know I am a pretty restless soul when it comes to the Arts," Max wrote. "The decade of 2000-2010 saw me releasing several solo albums and EP's as diverse as anybody could have predicted. In those years I crafted songs quite a distance away from the band I had been in the decade before (dctalk- 1989-2000)."

Max said throughout this time it became quite evident that he loved experimenting with different sounds and genres.

"From the first release 'Stereotype Be' I was creating music that inspired me and took me to the places I felt I could not go within the structure of dctalk. 'Between The Fence and The Universe & The Imposter' continued in the vein of European inspired rock and roll, but 'Ravensongs 101' with Adrian Belew took a sharp left turn into spoken word poetry. Then a brief foray into gospel classics with 'The Blood' and back out into exploration into the fine art of electronica with Cotes D' Armor.' Not to mention the sidetrack EP 'Crashing Gates and Passing Keepers' which made a declaration of rock and roll amidst all of the genre changing and bending."

Max said Starry Eyes is like his project The Blood, a covers dream album, but he will approach them in his signature artful way.

"When it comes to reinventing another song, I take the process quite seriously, from the fundamental arrangements to the vision of where it should go, how it can move beyond the original and retain its former glory," he posted.

He said the first song that will be released is Eden Ahbez's "Nature Boy" which is a song about the "grand adventure of life, and what it was like to inherit wisdom."
