'Just Cause 3' Review: First Paid Expansion ‘Sky Fortress’ Features Bavarium Wingsuit, Pass Holders Get Early Access?

With the upcoming release the first paid expansion to Avalanche Studios and Square Enix's "Just Cause 3," named "Sky Fortress," it has been revealed that players will have the opportunity to play the game add-on early if certain conditions are met.

According to IGN, players who were able to buy the "Air, Land, and Sea" Expansion Pass for "Just Cause 3" will be able to play "Sky Fortress" a week early, among others. The website says the expansion is set to introduce the Bavarium Wingsuit, an upgradeable, rocket-powered, and weaponized, suit for the game protagonist Rico Rodriguez.

The "Just Cause 3: Sky Fortress" trailer also features a number of new missions, along with personal defense, and a new weapon, an assault rifle known as the Bavarium Splitter. New items are also reportedly useable in the main game.

Set on the fictional Mediterranean island called Medici, "Just Cause 3" stands as an open-realm third-person action-adventure game. The game map shares similarities with its predecessor "Just Cause 2," along with an increase in its volumetric terrain that allows players to explore subterranean caverns and scale buildings in a more actual and more efficient manner.

Developed by Avalanche Studios and Square Enix, "Just Cause 3" was announced on Nov. 11, 2014 and was released worldwide on Dec. 1, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox One.

Kotaku reports that "Sky Fortress" serves as the first part of the Season Pass called "Air, Land, and Sea;" thus, it is assumed that two more expansions are set to be released to cover earth and water.

"Just Cause 3: Sky Fortress" is set to be released in March. Available at $12, the expansion pack is set to be followed by "Land Mech Assault," which reportedly features new missions and gravity gun-wielding armored mech.
