Johnny Depp News: Actor Forms Supergroup, the Hollywood Vampires, with Alice Cooper & Joe Perry

Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is apparently still intact with his musical abilities as he formed a super group band called 'Hollywood Vampires' and already have a gig lined up! Just when everybody thought that Depp will be acting continuously, he forms a band.

It has been known that Depp's first love is really music and reportedly, he is still in love with it which made him create a new band with shock rocker Alice Cooper and Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry! It is indeed another exciting undertaking for Depp to look forward to.

It may not be known to many but Depp and Cooper have not lost their contact and it is unsurprising that the two are in the same band. "Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp have been partners for a while and now with Joe Perry also on Hollywood Vampires, they will 'rock it out' yet once again," a message said in Cooper's website.

Meanwhile, as the trio band seemed to be ready to rock it out soon as it is reported that the Hollywood Vampires are scheduled to perform at the 2015 Rock at the Rio music festival in September. Excited fans who are anxious as to when the band's premiere performance will be held, it has been reported that the dates are as follows: September 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26 and 27 in Brazil.

Even more exciting, several other bands and artists will be there as well to perform. It has been reported that the Queens of the Stone Age and System of a Down may be there as well as A-Ha, Palco Mundo, Slipknot, Katy Perry, John Legend and Faith No More.

Meanwhile as many are indeed curious why Depp chose the name 'Hollywood Vampires', it has been reported that the name was from a '70s group of musicians who used alcohol as an initiation. Also, the band creator, Depp had been in the music scene since before his acting career.

He reportedly performed with several bands like The Black Keys, Marilyn Manson, and Oasis.
