JK Rowling's Harry Potter 8 Book and Movie Rumors Confirmed: Book Release Date to Be Announced in 2013, Full Movie Filmed Shortly After and Added to Film Collection [Photo]

JK Rowling, the author of the first seven Harry Potter books, recently announced that she is going to be adding Harry Potter 8 to the book and film collection. The book and movie rumors have been confirmed for 2013 and the release dates of both are expected to be announced shortly.

JK Rowling wrote a statement on her official website back in March of 2013 that read, "I have always refused to say 'never' to this question, because I think it would be foolish to rule out something I might want to do in a few years' time. However, I have no immediate plans to write another Harry Potter novel, and I do think that I have rounded off Harry's story in the seven published books."

Rowling has allegedly started talks with her publishing company about a Harry Potter 8 book and movie after Warner Brothers picked up her book "Beasts and Where to Find Them" and turned it into a feature film. The movie is set in the Harry Potter world and could have a tie in to Harry Potter 8.

More than likely, audiences will see many more spin-off films about the Harry Potter world rather than more actual Harry Potter films. But who knows, maybe JK Rowling will actually sit down and write an 8th Harry Potter book that will be turned into a film just like the rumors suggest.
