Jeremy Lin News: Linsanity Joins Forces With the Jubilee Project Again To Promote His New Christian Film 'Lost for Words' (VIDEOS)

Jeremy Lin set the NBA world on fire during the "Linsanity" craze at Madison Square Garden two years ago, and now the young point guard is helping a company known to make videos that inspires people to do good things and give a voice to the voiceless for charitable causes. Jeremy Lin stars in a new video "Lost for Words," a short film about Lin helping a boy from Burma aka Republic of the Union of Myanmar who was being teased by his new classmates in America because he cannot speak or understand English.  Lin agrees to tutor Ka Nyaw (played by Klo Lay Pla) so that the Burmese student can adjust to his new life after his family escaped the civil war in his country.

"That's just something that I want to encourage everyone to do in terms of mentorship and loving people and thinking outside of yourself. I think that's a biblical principle you want to try to push to everyone else," said Lin to The Gospel Herald explaining why he starred in the new movie with the Jubliee Project.

Founder Jason Lee created the Jubilee Project on his birthday to help raise money for the Haitian people who were affected by the earthquake back in 2010.

"The purpose of the Jubilee Project is simple: To make videos for a good cause," said Lee, according to a report by The Gospel Herald. "Anything from raising awareness, to fundraising money, to capturing random acts of kindness. The hope is that each video inspires others to make their own video, which causes this goodwill to go viral. After all, goodness is contagious."

Lin first worked with the Jubilee Project for "The Last Pick" movie. Lin starred in a movie about a little boy trying to overcome obstacles on the basketball court because of size and age. Lin plays himself trying to encourage the little boy not to give up no matter the situation.

In the second film with the Jubilee Project, Lin also starred in the "Jose" movie, where he met a 18-year-old Jose Estrella who had a troubled life before accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior. He became addicted to alcohol at the age of 13, and almost died of an alcohol and drug overdose on December 8, 2010. Lin was proud of Estrella overcoming his past addictions so that he can live a life pleasing to God.

"He has a solid foundation, and he understands a lot more than a typical eighteen-year-old might," said Lin in the "Jose" movie. "He talks a lot about his joy."

Lin's team led by NBA superstars James Harden and Dwight Howard have the squad ranked in 4th place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Rockets are looking to potentially win their 3rd championship in franchise history if the team has a successful run in the playoffs.
