Oscar award winning actor and musician Jared Leto hit the Oscars over the weekend to present to Patricia Arquette, and once again his looks and fashion style was linked to the Son of God.

God is certainly one of the most thanked at the Oscars but Leto's appearance has some saying that God was at the awards in the flesh. Leto's long hair often has him named the "hipster Jesus" in the media but pictures on Twitter are circulating claiming that the actor once again dressed as Jesus that is depicted in popular photos.

In a funny coincidence Arquette whispered "Jesus" after Leto handed her the golden statuette. In no time photo's begun circulating on social media of a blurred Leto standing angelically in the background as Arquette gave thanks for her award.

Despite what pictures depict is the image of Jesus, the Bible makes no mention of the length of His hair, and physical human features while He was here on earth before his ascension. Of course Leto's Jesus comparison is not always taken in a comical sense and people fight that Jesus of Nazareth looked nothing like Leto.

"I think they are senseless to think he would look like a Malibu surfer," a comment on social media read. Someone else wrote, "Jesus DID NOT have Northern European features!!!!!!"

The only appearance of Jesus that is revealed in the Bible was described by John in Revelation 1:13-16:

"And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shining in his strength."
