iPod Touch 6G Release Date Rumors: Device Coming After New iPad Launch in October 2014?

Recent reports have been giving rise to speculation that Apple will release a 6th generation iPod Touch along with their next generation iPad tablet in October.

Fall 2014 is going to be a big season for the Cuptertino-headquartered tech titan, as the highly anticipated iPhone 6 is set to launch in September. After that, an iPad event will bring in a new generation of tablets, and hopefully a new iPod Touch 6 will appear just one month later.

According to reports, iPod Touch 6 can be expected to have the same features as all the other upcoming iDevices such as the iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini 3. Apple's newly developed operating system, the iOS 8, will surely bring some big changes to table. Also, the new Touch ID will enable users to secure their devices through a feature that uses fingerprint recognition.

After news broke that the iPhone 6 will supposedly be released next month, Apple fanatics scrambled to find out how the new device will look.

However, the tech giant has done a pretty good job at keeping the appearance of the new iPhone under wraps. Techies will only be able to get an actual look at the device when the smartphone finally launches.

Considering Apple's history with their device design, they sometimes take the patterns from one device and impose them onto another. This has many thinking that the new iPod Touch 6 will be similar in appearance to the iPhone 6, but it's most likely going to be lighter and thinner.
