iPod Touch 6G Release Date: New iPod, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3, iOS 8 Launched Simultaneously in October 2014?

Every day, an increasing number of rumors regarding the release date of iPod Touch 6G and other forthcoming devices from Apple, including iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3, continue to flood the Internet.

Rumor has it that the iPod Touch 6G may be released alongside iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3, which are scheduled to be launched at the forthcoming Apple's iPad event. Various reports have speculated that the iPad event will be held in October, a month following the release of iPhone 6.

However, some Apple fans are hopeful that Apple will release the iPod 6G alongside the iPhone 6 sometime in September. Nevertheless, a post on Phones Review says that at the earliest, Apple may release the iPod 6G in October, along with the new iOS, the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3. Substantiating its speculation, the report says, "Apple likes to keep the spotlight on their new iPhone models in September, and of course the iOS 8 public release will feature as well."

Apart from the release date of the iPod Touch 6G, Apple fans are eagerly waiting for further information regarding the new features of the iOS media player. As the iOS media player is a future model, it is expected that the iPod Touch 6G will come with the upcoming operating system, the iOS 8, which is scheduled for Fall 2014 launch.

It is also expected that the iPod Touch 6G and the other upcoming Apple devices, such as the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 will at least be available with Touch ID, one major feature of the forthcoming iOS 8. The Touch ID is the fingerprint recognition tool from Apple, which facilitates security as well as convenience options for the users.
